The Gem of the West Museum is celebrating 25 years since its official grand opening, and we want to celebrate by bringing together the people who have been part of the museum’s story.
Over the past 25 years, countless people have helped make the museum what it is today — volunteers, board members, staff, donors, supporters, and community members. Whether you were involved for many years or only for a short time, we’d love to have you join us and share your memories.

Gem of the West Museum
Open House — Come and Go!
This is a free, informal open house, so come whenever you can and stay as long as you’d like. There is no registration required.
Enjoy some coffee, tea, juice, and cake, wander through the museum, reconnect with old friends, and share stories and memories from the past 25 years.
We’ll also have a place where guests can write down their stories and memories of the museum, helping us preserve the experiences of the people who have been part of our history.
Sealing Our History for the Next 25 Years
Near the end of the celebration, at approximately 2:00 p.m., we’ll gather to seal a special 25-year time capsule.
The capsule will contain a selection of photographs, documents, objects, and memories representing the museum and our community during its first 25 years. Once sealed, it will be preserved for the next generation to open 25 years from now.
Come share a story. Leave a memory. Be part of the next 25 years.
We hope you’ll stop by on October 3rd and help us celebrate 25 years of the Gem of the West Museum — a place of stories.
Admission: Free
No registration required • Come and go as you please
