Every artifact was a donation from people like you

Monetary Donations

The Gem of the West Museum Society’s efforts to preserve and display the history of Coaldale and area to our visitors depends on the generosity of our donors!

All monetary donations directly support the ongoing operation of the Society, the creation of new exhibits, the maintenance of current exhibits, and the storage and preservation of our artifacts.

If you would like to support the museum, you may send your donation by mail, or drop it off in person at the museum.

Please make cheques payable to the Gem of the West Museum Society.

Artifact Donations

The Gem of the West Museum has been collecting artifacts for almost 30 years! Meaning we have a large number of some items. Currently, we are unable to accept donations of the following: Pianos and organs, Sewing machines, Cash registers, Cameras, Furniture, Stoves/heaters, Doilies/table
linens, Clothing.

We are actively looking for photographs of Coaldale’s buildings throughout all the different periods.

To determine if the Gem of the West Museum best fits your object, we will need to know a bit about it. The type of information we are looking for includes: Who used the item? Where was it used? Where it was made, and by whom? When was it made, and when was it used? What is its condition? How did you acquire the item?

Please send this information, along with a photograph, to [email protected]
