Season Opening

We have hosted a free, family-friendly, season-opening event at the Museum for the last couple of years, which was a huge success. This year is super important to us as the Gem of the West Museum Society celebrates its 35th anniversary. So come on out and celebrate with us this year on Saturday, May 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We hope to see everyone again.

Jackie’s Kitchen will be the Food Truck joining this year. I can’t wait to chow down on some tasty food and treats.

We will fire up our blacksmith shop for demonstrations. There will also be a craft and drawing area for kids. We will also have a wide selection of game thanks to Coulee Concepts.

We will have Boots the Goat visiting in the morning, and then Maple Fusion will be doing a stage show at 10:30 a.m. If you want to take home a memory, then for only $10, get one of the Caricature drawings from Artist Touch.

Whatever you fancy doing, come out and enjoy a day at the Gem of the West Museum with FREE ADMISSION. We want to show off all the hard work we have been doing this past fall and winter with our new Music Room Exhibit.

We will have the Kinsmen Club of Coaldale, the FCSS (youth do crew) setting up booths and the Coaldale Scouts helping us out.
