SUMMARY:2025 Season Opening
DESCRIPTION:Season Opening  \nWe have hosted a free\, family-friendly\, season-opening event at the Museum for the last couple of years\, which was a huge success. This year is super important to us as the Gem of the West Museum Society celebrates its 35th anniversary. So come on out and celebrate with us this year on Saturday\, May 3rd\, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We hope to see everyone again. \nJackie’s Kitchen will be the Food Truck joining this year. I can’t wait to chow down on some tasty food and treats.  \nWe will fire up our blacksmith shop for demonstrations. There will also be a craft and drawing area for kids. We will also have a wide selection of game thanks to Coulee Concepts. \nWe will have Boots the Goat visiting in the morning\, and then Maple Fusion will be doing a stage show at 10:30 a.m. If you want to take home a memory\, then for only $10\, get one of the Caricature drawings from Artist Touch.  \nWhatever you fancy doing\, come out and enjoy a day at the Gem of the West Museum with FREE ADMISSION. We want to show off all the hard work we have been doing this past fall and winter with our new Music Room Exhibit.  \nWe will have the Kinsmen Club of Coaldale\, The Kinette Club of Coaldale\, FCSS (youth do crew) setting up booths and the Coaldale Scouts helping us out.  \nPlease keep checking back\, as we will do our best to post updates as thing get booked. \nSpecial thanks to the Kinsmen Club of Coaldale and the County of Lethbridge for their ongoing support. \nSCHEDULE \n10:00 AM   Doors open\n10:30 AM   Maple Fusion takes the stage (45 min to 1 hour show)\n11:00 AM   Boots the Goat Arrives (visiting for one hour only)\n 1:00 PM   Roaming afternoon entertainment (from 1 pm to 3 pm)\n 4:00 PM   Doors Close \n*UPDATE* \nDue to unforeseen circumstances\, Jackie’s Kitchen Food Truck will no longer be able to join us for the event. We are actively working to line up an alternative\, so stay tuned for updates! \n*UPDATE*  \nHuge shout out to KabaKula food truck from Taber who is able to be here for our season opening event. can’t wait to taste all they have to offer.  \n
