COWPOKE DAY
Last year, we hosted a free family fun season-opening event at the Museum, which was a HUGE success. So we want to do it again, calling it Cowpoke day. It is on Saturday, May 4th, from 10 am to 4 pm, and we hope to see everyone again.
Model T Smokies Food Truck will join this year, and Moo Magic Ice Cream is excited to return. I can’t wait to wrangle up some tasty food and treats, but we will have some popcorn available, too.
We will fire up our blacksmith shop and add a sawmilling demonstration. There will also be a craft and drawing area for kids and a game zone.
We will have Boots the Goat visiting in the morning and then a roaming magician and juggler in the afternoon. There will also be a Western photo backdrop with props to capture a memory, or you can get a ONE Minute Sketch caricature for $10.
Whatever you fancy doing, come out and enjoy a day at the Gem of the West Museum with FREE ADMISSION and see all our unique exhibits and our newly designed laundry.

We are sorry to inform you that the sawmill demonstration scheduled for this coming Saturday has been cancelled. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen mechanical issues, the equipment won’t be ready in time for the event. However, there are still plenty of activities to enjoy on Saturday, May 4th.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. If you were looking forward to the sawmill demonstration, we would be happy to explore rescheduling the event for later this summer.
