Canada Day
Join us at the Gem to start out Canada Day with a Pancake Breakfast from 8-10 am at the Gem. Breakfast is by donation, all funds raised will go towards supporting the museum. BBQ burgers, ice cream floats and Canada Day cake will be happening out at the Hub Field along with games, cultural, music and dance performances ,activities and more from 11 am-2 pm, and it's free! Free swim from 2-5 pm at the pool.

Bring the whole family and celebrate Heritage Day with an Open House at the museum! Free admission, drop in for refreshments, kids crafts and games, ice-cream making, and other fun activities.

Find out more »Wine and Cheese Auction – SOLD OUT
The Gem of the West Museum Society is holding it's annual Wine and Cheese Auction on October 21, 2017. Doors open and Silent Auction begins 5:30, Live Auction 7pm. This is the Society's biggest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds go towards upcoming museum projects. Tickets are $20 and include complementary wine and hors d'oeuvres, please purchase in advance at the museum.

Join us on December 1st for the museum's longest running and most popular event! The 22nd annual Carol Festival features the music of the season from local choirs, musicians, and singers. Doors open at 6:30 pm, performance begins at 7pm. Admission is by donation to the Gem of the West Museum Society.

December 8th will be the final opportunity to view artifacts on loan from the RCMP Historical Collections Unit in Saskatchewan, currently on display in our Canada 150 exhibit "The Early History of the RCMP in Southern Alberta".

The Gem of the West Museum facility will be closed for the holiday season from December 24th through to January 1st. We will re-open 9am on January 2nd, 2018.
