Annual Carol Festival

#1. January 15, 2010 'Opera goes to the Movies' Opera workshop by U of L.
#2. February 12, 2010 'Sing, Sing,Swing' U of L Jazz Ensemble.
#3. February 27, 2010 'Five Singing Guys'
#4. March 4, 2010 'It Takes Two' U of L Collaborative Piano/Guitar.

 

 

 

Gem of the West Museum is a 15,000 square foot rural museum, which showcases various ethnic and cultural groups.

 

Come and visit the schoolhouse, the working blacksmith shop, the historic aboriginal display and many other displays.

 

In early 2010, the museum will construct outdoor and indoor irrigation displays.

 

Opening in May 2010, will be a new gun exhibit featuring old sporting rifles, shotguns and military weapons.

 

 

Did You Know . . .

The Museum is available for rental. Special events such as weddings, anniversaries, business meetings and others can be hosted there. It is a perfect place for groups of up to 300 people.

The Gem of the West Society hosts a four part concert series in conjunction with the U of L.

FASPA, an afternoon tea and coffee event is held semi-annually.

An annual Wine and Cheese Antique and Collectibles Auction is held in October.

The annual Hobby Fair and Sale is held in November.

A Christmas Carol Festival is hosted on the 1st Friday of every December.

Throughout the summer months, demonstrations are available in our working blacksmith shop.
